NCVO Ghana Emerges Winner Of National SDG 17 Award

NCVOGhana won masively at the recent Sustainable Development Goals Award ceremony held in Kumasi, the second largest city in Ghana on 7 January,2020.


Founder of NCVOGHANA Shirley Abedi-Boafo amongst notable personalities in Ghana such as Dr. Yaw Adu-Gyamfi (President, Association of Ghana Industries,AGI & Chairman, Danpong Group of Companies), Mr. Joseph Yamin ( Former Minister of Youth and Sports,deputy), Dr. Nana Ama Browne Klutse ( Lecturer, University of Ghana and Co-Author , United Nation Inter-governmental Panel On Climate Change), Dr. William Anarfi (Wask Group of companies) and many high profile notoriety won in various categories.


Speaking to the press, Mrs. Shirley Abedi Boafo expressed her gratitude to all and sundry who helped in pushing the NCVOGHANA agenda and reiterated her firm resolute to bridge the gap between NGOs , Communities, Corporate bodies and Government.

It was all joy as the NCVOGHANA commitment to promoting and supporting the NGO sector in Ghana had been soon realized.


SDG 17 is about "partnership and collaboration for the goals" The Goal has 17 targets to be achieved by 2030, broken into 5 categories: finance, technology, capacity building and systematic issues.
